Matt of mattandhiscats has nominated me for a 3 day quote challenge. TBH I am not so sure about it because :
- I don’t read.
- I am not good with words.
- I have a terrible memory.
- I am a big quitter.
- I am well aware of my limited knowledge.
- Challenges scare me!
So thank you Matt ( and his cats …. I enjoy saying that!) for the nomination.

I have to start with a verse from Quran,
“And I (Allah) created not the jinn and mankind except that they should worship Me (Alone).”
Surah Adh Dhariyat, ayah # 56
Al Quran Al Kareem
This is the purpose of my life defined in Quran. I grew up watching my dad reciting a page or two from the Quran everyday. Whenever I asked any religion based question he said, ” Read the Quran. Study Prophet’s (peace be upon him) teachings.” Just like any Muslim I used to recite Quran, memorize it, say it in daily salah ( namaz/prayer) but the real effect happened when I learned its language, Arabic.
Jarir Bin Abdullah narrated this saying of Prophet s.a.w
” Allah will not be merciful to those who are not merciful to mankind”.
Sahih Bukhari, volume 9, book 93, #473
Narrated by Abu Musa Al-Ashari
The Prophet said, “Give food to the hungry, pay a visit to the sick and release (set free) the one in captivity (by paying his ransom).”
Sahih Bukhari, volume 7, book 65, #286
