Recently my brother reminded me that I have not posted anything in my “around the world…” (ATW) tag so here is a new addition to my food map, Budino which is Italian for pudding. This recipe is a very simple one; requires very few ingredients ( 3 to be exact), quick and easy to make, gluten free and will sure please any crowd.
Basically there is Nutella and cream combined with a little gelatin. It is velvety smooth and very very rich in taste. 1/2 – 3/4 cup serving is enough in my opinion. Garnish with cream, cocoa powder or roasted hazelnut if you like.
ingredients: ( 6 servings)
2 1/2 tsp gelatin dissolved in 1 1/2 tbsp hot water
800 ml cream
500 gm jar of Nutella
cocoa powder for garnish, optional
roasted hazelnut for garnish, optional
whipped cream for garnish, optional
In a medium saucepan combine Nutella and cream. Place saucepan over low medium heat and stir well. Continue heating till smooth and well combined, 2-3 minutes. Remove from heat and add dissolved gelatin. Mix well. Pour mixture evenly among 6 serving glasses. Refrigerate for 4-5 hours or until set. Garnish if required.
