Wednesday Wisdom: 7 Benefits of Green Chillies
Another integral ingredient of our cuisine… Green Chillies. It plays different sets of roles in cooking, sometimes it is added to up the spice game, sometimes it is for aroma, sometimes flavor, or garnish, or pickle or chutney. It is really amazing how one single element can create variety in cooking according to the purpose of its usage. There are many research proven benefits of chillies and the most common are:

- Helps in digestion.
- Improves blood circulation.
- Lowers blood sugar.
- Mood booster.
- They are anti bacterial and anti fungus
Its been growing in my kitchen garden and since I prefer keeping the spice level low ( Yes I am weak!), I use some in cooking, make green chutney with fresh mint and coriander (all homegrown) as mentioned previously and let the rest turn red and dry on their own and then get them powdered and TADA !!
